It’s high time for us to release a small update for our Gmail Notifier for Mac (OS X). We’ve added a few things of our own and got some ideas from users too. Some of the changes are:

* it’s a universal binary, so it will run natively on PowerPC and Intel Macs;

* it will notify you when a new version is available and automatically upgrade itself; and…drum roll, please…

* it has new icons (we know it’s what you’ve asked for!).

Also, as many of you know, the Gmail Notifier supports plug-ins, and one of our users wrote a cool plug-in called Gmail+Growl that displays visual Growl notifications when new mail arrives. Very cool and worth checking out. So download the Mac Gmail Notifier once again, and we’ll take care of the rest.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I installed the update and it seems like it isn’t doing anything. I received a notification 6 hours after I had an email and when I checked I had 22 emails sitting there waiting for me.

I want my email notifications back!

Sonny and Emily Music Video

I had some free time over the weekend, so I made a music video with some of my clips of Sonny and Emily from General Hospital. Emily is played by Natalia Livingston and Sonny is played by Maurice Benard. The song is “Far Away” by Nickelback and all clips were provided by me.

Natalie Portman on Saturday Night Live

This past Saturday, March 4th, Natalie Portman was on Saturday Night Live. Natalie is one of my favorite actresses, especially in “Closer,” so I was upset to have missed the show. However, someone was nice enough to upload the “digital short” clip to YouTube! This rap is brought to you by the same guys that did “Lazy Sunday.” Read on to see the clip here, or visit it directly at YouTube. NBC is being anal, so they’ve had YouTube remove every single clip (as well as my Kate Beckinsale clip where she was on Leno!), but they do have it on their website now here.
