Mad Men = Brilliant!

Ridiculously obsessed with AMC’s Mad Men. I can’t believe I hadn’t been watching this show! Jon Hamm & January Jones, so amazingly hot together ♥ I flew through the first and second season in less than 48 hours. Season 3 starts on Sunday, August 16th… anxiously waiting for a new ep!

Ooh, I’m so excited for 7pm to finally roll around! The season premiere of Pushing Daisies is first, followed by Addison and the gang of Private Practice at 8pm, both on ABC.

Women’s Murder Club is back… with a vengeance!

Wow.

I’ve been looking forward to the new episode of Women’s Murder Club for, what, nearly 4 months now, and boy was it worth the wait! The ladies are back with a BANG- that was the most exciting hour of television I’ve seen in a long time.

If the show isn’t picked up for a second season I will be unbelievably disappointed. Devastated. You hear that ABC?! I need this show!

Online TV and movies for free site roundup

I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite sites to visit when I want to catch a television show I’ve missed or just want to watch it again and didn’t have a chance to record on my DVR. Only included on the list are sites that are free and require no registration or special downloads!

• tv-links.co.uk – Lots of current TV Shows, Cartoon, Movies, Documentaries, Anime, Music Videos. Most shows include links to all current episodes of the series
• Side Reel – Fantastic resource and interface, tons of newer TV Shows, organized nicely, movies too!
• Your TV Links – Many older TV Shows, few of the newer ones
• Peekvid – Current and older TV Shows, Movies, many shows only have a links to a few epsiodes rather than the entire season. Nice interface, lacking content compared to some of the others
• alluc.org – Great resource with TV Shows, Movies, etc.
• video.glath.com – Mostly cartoons, few TV Shows. Highlights include Family Guy and The Sopranos
• EpisodeNetwork.com – Movies, movies, and more movies!
• ShowStash.com – 51 shows, mostly older
• Channel King – Streaming television, plenty of channels to choose from like Nickelodeon and ESPN
• Select Video – Search engine, makes finding specific episodes very easy to find
• Stafex.net – Streaming TV channels from all around the world, lots of great Sports channels too, very simple interface

300 was made with Final Cut Pro, Shake, Quicktime, and Macs

Macs were preferred by the filmmakers of 300. Even though Final Cut Pro was not the main editing software used for 300 it was preferred over Avid. Shake was also the main program used for the 2D effects and Quicktime HD was the choice for creating the HD movie previews.
